I am Dr. Johanna Martínez Osorio, passionate about caring for the digestive health of children. With over 10 years of experience in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, I specialize in providing high-quality, compassionate medical care for children with digestive issues. My training began at the Hospital Materno-Infantil Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona, where I trained as a pediatrician and later specialized in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition

Currently, I combine my role as an attending physician in the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Service at the Hospital Materno-Infantil Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona with my position as a consultant in Pediatric Digestive Pathology at Centro Médico Teknon. Every day, I strive to provide families with clear diagnoses, appropriate treatments, and continuous follow-up, always with a close, understanding, and professional approach.

My Approach to Your Children's Health

Throughout my career, I have had the honor of speaking at various conferences and courses and collaborating as an author in several scientific articles. Additionally, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with future healthcare professionals, which is why I also serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Barcelona.

My Commitment to Research and Education

Beyond medical treatments, I deeply believe in the mind-body connection. Therefore, alongside my medical career, I have studied mindfulness to offer more comprehensive and holistic care to children and their families. Digestive health is not only a physical matter but is also influenced by emotional well-being, and that is the type of care I strive to provide: comprehensive support, considering all dimensions of your children's health.

The Importance of a Holistic Approach

I am proud to be an active member of some of the most important institutions in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, such as the Spanish and European Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (SEGHNP and ESPGHAN), and the Spanish and Catalan Societies of Pediatrics (AEPED). Additionally, I participate in working groups on motility and functional disorders, celiac disease, and Helicobacter pylori within these societies.
